All other pics are his offspring - the under saddle trotting shot is of a 2003 mare , who won the 4-year old dressage prospect championship at Blue Heron Farm, the bay horse trotting in the field is a 2007 yearling filly, and the horse pictured jumping is a 2003 gelding, currently competing in the Hunters in Florida.

Gatsby is an approved stallion by the legendary Elite Hanoverian, Gonzo I. Gonzo was a great Puissance horse, topping 7’2” on several occasions under Olympian Frank Sloothak. Gonzo I also competed successfully to 4th Level Dressage before his death. In Germany, his dressage index for offspring has equaled his jumping index. Gonzo’s dam was a full sister to Deister, who won an Olympic Silver medal, four German National Championships, & three European championships. Gonzo’s sire, Gepard, produced Hunter sire, All the Gold, and 12 Grand Prix show jumpers. Gatsby’s great grandsire, Gotthard, is the most famous jumping sire in the Hanoverian breed.
Gatsby stood to a full book in 2008. He stamps his foals with size, correct conformations, athleticism, and consistently amazing temperaments, which is essential, since both amateurs and professionals alike want a horse who is not only talented, but fun and safe too. It is not at all unusual for us to hear that a foal is one of the easiest horses an owner has ever trained. Foal owners are also incredibly pleased with the natural balance and uphill, floating and naturally FORWARD movement of their Gatsby babies. Gatsby is beautiful, modern, and refined, and he is loved wherever he goes. His knack for passing on his lovely disposition marked by a very high level of trainability is becoming one of his hallmark traits. Gatsby is also homozygous black for clients who are looking to breed for color.
Gatsby's oldest foals are just starting their training programs and are showing talent for both the Dressage and Jumper disciplines. His foals inherit his love for jumping as well as his beautiful, floating movement, marked by excellent balance, beautiful suspension, and reach.
