This could be a great buy for an adult Amateur or talented youth looking for next project horse! He is a 2007 Trakehner gelding out of the American Trakehner Association's 1990, Horse of the Year, Heritage's Pride and Joy (Pammelstrand x Heritance by Habicht).
Hudson is a big boy and projected to mature around 16-16.1 hands at maturity. This gelding has a huge over step at the walk, a trot that shows a lot of suspension, and a soft, balanced, uphill, three beat canter. He has a very nice disposition, beautiful head and neck and is quite eye-catching to watch. Substanital body, larger boned, wide chested, short backed, and very athletic.
Hudson's dam, spent many years as a proven event horse, fox hunted, and is a patient and kind lesson horse. She is a big girl at 16.3 hands, kind, gentle, and grand daughter of Windfall's sire, Habicht.
Hudson's sire, is an Arabian stallion, of the older Egyptian race (endurance) bloodlines. This stallion stands just shy of 16 hands (barefoot), with a 9" cannon. He is level headed, with bone, substance, three good clean gaits, and a huge jump. Trained for Hunters, he was unfortunately injured in a pasture accident, and never able to enter the show ring.
Hudson will be a willing and kind performance and trail partner for someone looking for a wonderful prospect to train up the levels. He should be suitable for eventing, hunters, and dressage. I'm looking for a loving home for this guy that will use him to his potential!
