Sire: Abdullah
Abdullah was recently honored as one of the top 50 horses of the century by "The Chronicle of The Horse". The gray stallion will best be remembered for his 1984 Olympic performance in show jumping with his rider Conrad Homfeld. Their brilliant clear round in the Team Competition clinched the first and only team gold medal for the United States. They went on to win the Olympic silver medal in the individual competition. Abdullah continued to re-write the record book by winning the 1985 World Cup in Berlin. They also won a team Gold medal at the 1986 World Championships, Aachen, where Abdullah was the leading horse of the competition. During his long career he won Grand Prix competitions with Joe Fargis and Debbie Stephens as well as Conrad Homfeld. He is the sire of such jumping talent as Airborn Monticello, presently competing for France and was named to their 1996 Olympic Show Jumping Team and was a member of their 1998 World Championship Silver Medal Team. Abracadabra who became a Grand Prix show jumping winner and international competitor representing the USET on many occasions. Special Memories who is an ATA approved stallion who competed very successfully at Grand Prix, placing in 16 of the 20 Grand Prixs he was entered in. This includes such events as the Budweiser USA Jumping Championship, the Devon American Gold Cup, Pennsylvania National and Capital Challenge, among others.
Dam: Apache Peak (Galoubet).
Apache Peak is by the legendary Galoubet. Galoubet, himself was an international star (winning in Wiesbaden, multiple Nations Cups, etc) and is the sire of countless international jumpers, such as Baloubet du Rouet, Caloubet du Rouet, Quatoubet, and Quick Star. Apache’s dam was imported from Sweden as a dressage horse, but made her real mark as an upper level eventer. She also produced Apache’s full sister, who went on to win in the jumper ring with her young rider. Apache’s dam-sire Mowgli jumped internationally, and has been said to have “great form and great skill”. His mare line produced Format who at one time held a high jump record of 7’5”. Apache herself was successful in the jumper ring, placing and winning at such large shows as WEF. She has proven a consistent producer for our program, with several of her foals being given “Premium” status at their inspections. Her oldest known offspring is just beginning his show career.
The Abdullah/Galoubet combination is a proven, highly successful cross. This foal will be very similiarly bred to the sensational Abdullah son, Cabdula du Tillard (www.frenchstallions.org). Cabdula is also out of a Galoubet daughter. Cabdula has been a very successful international jumper, with 150 wins and placings to date. He has also produced several international Grand Prix winners; Istom, Iman du Rozel, Idylle du Thot and Ismene du Temple. Most recently a Cabdula “baby” competed at the FEI Rolex World Cup Finals (Muskateer).
This is a very rare and very special circumstance to be able to purchase a foal with world class bloodlines, by two proven performers.
